A few years ago, I stumbled upon overnight oats. I was getting bored with the monotonous peanut butter on toast and wanted to change up the menu. I loved that overnight oats were easy to make and could be personalized to fit your needs. They were energizing and unlike many other healthy breakfast foods, hearty and filling. Some days, my overnight oats would be sweet and comforting while more savory on others. While I personalized the oats, I always used this same base recipe:
Ingredients
½ cup rolled old fashioned oats
½ cup of a milk of your choosing
¼ cup non-fat Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon maple syrup
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
