Many people pick up new hobbies during quarantine. I found that one of the best hobbies that I have picked up is working out and trying to keep myself in shape. At the start of quarantine, I felt a lot weaker and not in shape. Although I was not visibly out of shape there was still work to be done. So I indulged myself in many videos about fitness and workout routines as well as healthier diets. At the start of my fitness journey, I was very lazy and did not feel like getting out of bed in the morning to do the work that was needed. I had to push myself to do it even though I did not feel like doing it; It told myself that the end result was going to be worth it. This type of mindset is very important because there are going to be many times where you will feel tired or lazy, but pushing through it is just as important as the workout itself. As I started to get more disciplined with my workouts my diet also started to get more disciplined. In the beginning, I only ate 145g of protein and day and the rest would be carbs. This was to fulfill the amount of energy needed to execute the workout and to provide the protein for the muscle to build off of. I found out that the diet is very important for weight loss and muscle gain journey. Small things like self-image and determination drove me to where I am now. The transformation from the start of quarantine to now is very big and will continue. I believe that once a person sets a goal for themselves then it becomes easier to achieve due to the drive and urgency they have to reach that goal.
