Adventures in Malden

Massachusetts is a fairly small state and yet I have not been to that many places in MA.

The other day I took the time to explore the city of Malden. When I went around Malden Center, some of it seemed to be run down and old but other parts were very new. The city is going under renovation. The rundown parts will soon be renovated and the city will come together in unity to celebrate their new and improved look.

Malden, to me, looked like a second Chinatown. Malden has a very big Asian population and the city is filled with many restaurants influenced by many countries of Asian descent.

My friends were showing me around the city and we were getting hungry, so they took me around the town center to what they thought were the best spots in the city. I chose a place called “Pho Bistro”, which was a restaurant that served Vietnamese cuisine.

I was very hungry so I chose a dish that included all the cut meats. The dish was very good and I was very amazed at how well all of the cut meats clashed together very well with the distinct broth of the pho. The noodles added a variety to the taste of the cut meat, but it also soaked up the flavor of the broth, which adds a completely new flavor to the dish. The pho was very filling and satisfied my taste buds.

If someone were to visit Malden I would definitely recommend going to “Pho Bistro”. Malden is also the first city to have a Boda Borg in Massachusetts. The Boda Borg is a room that is an obstacle course and at the end of each obstacle course there is a door that leads to another room. The goal is to get to the end of all the rooms.

Although my time in Malden was limited, I had quite the fun adventure and I would definitely come again.
